I was introduced to a fellow who also liked The Carter Family. He, I, and a few friends started a band. Will the Circle be Unbroken was one of the songs we would play regularly. Now this fellow, a great musician, lost his mother to cancer. When we played this song it would really take things up a notch. Last time I saw this fellow, who I would now consider a professional musician, was at a wake. We started playing this song, and we did not finish playing. I guess we just couldn't finish playing it.
That wake was almost a year ago.
